Redskins injury report: Landry, Orakpo limited

The Redskins listed two key defensive players as “limited” on Wednesday’s injury report, and another five players practiced fully despite injuries.

Starting strong safety LaRon Landry and outside linebacker Brian Orakpo both watched portions of practice with hamstring and ankle injuries, respectively.

Meanwhile, return man Brandon Banks (knee), tight end Chris Cooley (knee), cornerback DeAngelo Hall (back), receiver Donte Stallwroth (shoulder) and long-snapper Nick Sundberg (hand) practiced despite injuries that the team is monitoring.

Coach Mike Shanahan said no determination had been made on whether Landry would play Sunday. “He’s hoping he can go,” Shanahan said. “Keep our fingers crossed.”

Shanahan added: “He has to show he can play. You have to be in football shape, just like Chris Cooley. How do you know how many plays he can play? I wasn’t really sure going into the game. He felt pretty good as the game went on. We kept him in on more plays than I thought we would. It’s kind of your gut as we go through the week.”

Shanahan was hopeful about Orakpo as well, but not yet certain that he would play against the Cardinals either.
