Redskins make London Fletcher re-signing official

The Washington Redskins officially announced the re-signing of free agent linebacker London Fletcher.

Fletcher agreed to a deal Friday with the Redskins and announced on Twitter that he was returning to the team.

He has spent the last five seasons with the Redskins and has reached the past three Pro Bowls. Fletcher led the league in tackles last season.

Re-signing Fletcher had been one of the Redskins’ top priorities in free agency. But talks moved slowly until Friday’s resolution, which enabled the Redskins to have Fletcher back in the fold before Monday’s opening of the team’s offseason conditioning program.
