Redskins sign Adam Gettis, their fifth-round pick

The Washington Redskins on Saturday signed fifth-round draft pick Adam Gettis, the team announced.

Gettis, whom the team selected out of Iowa, signed his contract a day after the team inked seventh-rounders Jordan Bernstine and Richard Crawford, who were the first two draft picks signed to deals.

The 6-foot-2, 293-pound Gettis last fall earned second-team All-Big Ten honors. He is expected to compete for time at backup guard and center as a rookie.
