Redskins sign lineman Marlon Favorite, place Chris Neild and Darius Hanks on injured reserve

The Washington Redskins signed free agent defensive lineman Marlon Favorite Thursday and placed injured nose tackle Chris Neild and receiver Darius Hanks on injured reserve, the team announced.

The 6-foot-1, 317-pound Favorite played in college at LSU and was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Carolina Panthers in 2009. He has had brief stints with the Chiefs, Seahawks, Saints, Rams, Bills and Colts’ practice squads since entering the NFL.

Neild tore the ACL in his left knee on Monday while Hanks suffered shoulder and clavicle injuries last week.
