Roy Helu up for Pepsi NFL Rookie of the Week

November 29, 2011

Washington Redskins running back Roy Helu is a nominee for Pepsi NFL Rookie of the Week following his career rushing day in Sunday’s 23-17 victory over the Seattle Seahawks.

Helu carried the ball 23 times for 108 yards and a touchdown and had seven catches for 54 yards.

The other finalists for rookie of the week are Cincinnati quarterback Andy Dalton, Carolina quarterback Cam Newton, Arizona punt returner Patrick Peterson and Houston defensive end J.J. Watt.

Fans can vote for the five rookies at NFL.com/rookies between now and Friday at noon. The winner will be announced on NFL Total Access on the NFL Network and on NFL.com.
