Tim Hightower gets back in Redskins’ running back mix

Running back Tim Hightower played for the first time during this preseason as he works his way back from last season’s knee injury.

Hightower ran for 18 yards on his first carry during the Washington Redskins’ win over the Indianapolis Colts. He finished with 28 yards on five carries.

Said Redskins Coach Mike Shanahan: “I thought he did a great job. I was a little nervous. I saw him get better during the week. I felt there was a chance that he could play. I thought it might be a long shot. But when I saw him a couple days ago, he looked much better. So I was glad he was able to get some playing time in there. He looked good.”
