“He’s going to be done, I guess, for the rest of the year,” Redskins veteran linebacker London Fletcher said Monday.
There was no official confirmation yet by the team that Carriker will not play again this season. But Coach Mike Shanahan said after the game in St. Louis that the outlook was not promising for Carriker’s injury.
Another Redskins player said the injury was to Carriker’s quadriceps muscle. The injury was initially described Sunday as an injury to Carriker’s right knee.
Jarvis Jenkins replaced Carriker on Sunday and likely will start this weekend’s game at home against the Cincinnati Bengals.
