Quick hits: Pierre Garcon likely out again

September 21, 2012

The Washington Redskins likely will be without wide receiver Pierre Garcon for a second straight game.

Garcon suffered a foot injury on an 88-yard touchdown catch in the Redskins’ season-opening win at New Orleans and sat out last weekend’s loss at St. Louis.

He will be listed as doubtful for Sunday’s game against the Cincinnati Bengals at FedEx Field, Coach Mike Shanahan said after Friday’s practice.

Shanahan said Garcon pushed hard during Friday’s practice but his foot remained sore and he was unable to participate in full team drills.

Cornerback Josh Wilson will be listed as probable after suffering a concussion last weekend, Shanahan said.

Safety Brandon Meriweather, who has missed two games after aggravating a knee injury, is to be listed as questionable, according to Shanahan. He declined to say if Meriweather will start Sunday if he’s able to play.
