Griffin – the second overall pick of the 2012 draft – has helped the Redskins to a 2-2 start, making plays with both his arm and his legs.

Griffin’s passer rating of 103.2 ranks fourth in the NFL after four games. The rookie has completed 69.4 percent of his passes for 1,070 yards and four touchdowns and one interception. Griffin is one of only three rookies in NFL history to pass for 1,000 yards in his first four games.

Griffin also has rushed for 234 yards and four touchdowns on 41 carries. His rushing output ranks third among rookies behind teammate Alfred Morris and Tampa Bay’s Doug Martin, but his four touchdowns are tied with Morris and Houston’s Arian Foster for the league lead for all players.

He leads an offense that ranks third in the NFL in total yards (1,687), fourth in points (30.8) and first in rushing yards (175.5).
