The event, which will benefit Alexander’s ACES Foundation and the El Foundation of former Redskins and Steelers receiver Antwaan Randle El, will take place at 6:30 p.m., Monday, Nov. 5 at 300 Shady Grove in Gaithersburg.

Alexander’s foundation has a new program with one classroom each in Maryland, Virginia and the District. “We’re going to be reading ‘Gifted Hands’ by Ben Carson, one of the great neurologists in our country, up there in Baltimore, who grew up in the inner city,” Alexander said. “He was called a dummy, at one point tried to stab somebody, but for the grace of God, hit their belt buckle and the blade broke, and now here he is a doctor. We want to show the kids that even though you grow up in this environment, you can become successful.”

Alexander, fellow Redskins and Randle El will be bowling in the event. Individual tickets are on sale for $125 per person. Corporate sponsorships also are available. To reserve a team lane or donate to the silent auction go to BowlingAces.eventbrite.com or e-mail Bowling Aces@gmail.com.
