Suggs inactive for Ravens

Trent Williams and the rest of the Redskins’ offensive line won’t have to worry about blocking Terrell Suggs (John McDonnell/The Washington Post)

Outside linebacker Terrell Suggs won’t play Sunday against the Washington Redskins. Suggs is on the Baltimore Ravens’ inactive list because of his torn biceps.

Suggs, the reigning NFL defensive player of the year, had said he’d hoped to play with the injury. The Ravens had listed him as questionable on their official injury report.

Courtney Upshaw is scheduled to start at Suggs’s outside linebacker spot, the Ravens announced.
