Robert Griffin III practicing again for Redskins; Tyler Polumbus absent

Robert Griffin III was on the field for practice for a second consecutive day and didn’t appear to be limited during the portion of Thursday morning’s session that was open to reporters. But right tackle Tyler Polumbus was not at practice during that 20 minute window when reporters are allowed to observe.

Griffin is awaiting clearance from team doctors to play Sunday, which would be two weeks after he sprained the LCL in his right knee. Polumbus suffered a concussion in Sunday’s game at Cleveland and is going through daily tests for lingering symptoms.

Center Will Montgomery (sprained MCL) didn’t appear to be limited in any capacity as the team went through individual drills.

Linebacker London Fletcher (ankle) sat out practice on Wednesday, but was back on the field early in Thursday’s session. And fellow linebacker Lorenzo Alexander (shoulder) no longer is wearing a yellow non-contact jersey as he did on Wednesday. Linebacker RobJackson was back in practice a day after his child was born.

Redskins coach Mike Shanahan will provide details following practice this afternoon.
