Shanahan said he wasn’t surprised Robert Griffin III made the Pro Bowl because of his high level of play all year. Shanahan said he was also happy for Lorenzo Alexander and Trent Williams, who made the squad as well.
The Redskins practiced indoors for a second straight day because of high winds. Shanahan said it was too windy for the video staff to be able to film practice in the lifts, but the practice bubble enabled them to do that.
Kyle Shanahan said Trent Williams’ drive increased this year, and he has worked to on the details of his technique. On Williams’ Pro Bowl selection, Shanahan said, “I’m glad he got what he deserves.”
Defensive coordinator Jim Haslett said Jarvis Jenkins has improved with each game and “he’s really taken off” in the last couple of weeks.
Haslett praised the play of nose tackle Barry Cofield, who leads the team in pressures and batted balls. Haslett said Cofield finally has a clear understanding of how they want him to play the position and has had a Pro Bowl caliber season.
