Starting right tackle Tyler Polumbus was back on the practice field Thursday, a day after he missed more time with symptoms from the concussion he suffered two weeks ago against Cleveland. Backup wide receiver Dezmon Briscoe also returned to action a day after missed practice after missing a flight back to the Washington area.
It wasn’t clear how much of a workload Polumbus would be able to handle, but he went through individual and positional drills during the portion of practice that was open to reporters. Polumbus missed last Thursday’s practice because of the concussion, but practiced Wednesday and Friday of last week before he was ruled out of last Sunday’s game at Philadelphia.
Briscoe went home for Christmas but missed his flight back Wednesday morning. Coach Mike Shanahan said Wednesday, “That will cost him a little cash.”
Safety DeJon Gomes (knee) and linebacker London Fletcher (ankle) also were going through the early portions of practice Thursday morning.
