Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III was named the NFL’s rookie of the week for last weekend’s games, the league announced.

Griffin threw for two touchdowns in the Redskins’ victory at Philadelphia. It was his first game back after missing one game because of a mild sprain of the lateral collateral ligament in his right knee.

It is the seventh time this season that Griffin has won the weekly rookie honor. He was named to the NFC Pro Bowl team Wednesday.
