Redskins coach Mike Shanahan said starting left guard Kory Lichtensteiger (ankle) and backup cornerback D.J. Johnson (knee) both missed practice for a second straight day Thursday.

Shanahan declined to speculate on whether Lichtensteiger will be able to make his 17th start of the season. He said only that the guard continues to receive treatment each day.

Safety DeJon Gomes (knee) was limited but linebacker London Fletcher (ankle) and quarterback Kirk Cousins (flu) practiced fully.

Shanahan said cornerback Cedric Griffin had an improved second practice back with the team following his four-game suspension.
