Redskins defensive backs coach Raheem Morris also was under consideration for the position and had been scheduled to interview with Cleveland on Friday.

Horton was relived of his duties on Friday when Arizona hired former Colts offensive coordinator Bruce Arians as head coach.

Morris joined Washington’s staff last January after being fired as head coach of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He had an agreement with Washington that allowed him to interview for any defensive coordinator positions he wished to pursue.
