The Redskins are in the process of finalizing a deal that would bring right tackle Tony Pashos onto the team, two people with knowledge of the situation said Friday.
An eight-year veteran, Pashos was released by Cleveland last March and spent the year recovering from ruptured ligaments in his left foot.
The 6-foot-6, 337-pounder has played in 92 games, starting 72 for Baltimore, Jacksonville, San Francisco and Cleveland.
It wasn’t immediately clear what Pashos’s role would be. Veteran backup Jordan Black also is a free agent, so it’s possible Pashos would replace him.
