RICHMOND â Starting left tackle Trent Williams injured his left wrist late in Tuesday afternoonâs practice and headed to the locker room with it heavily wrapped in ice. But the Pro Bowl tackle said that he doesnât believe the injury is serious.
âI just fell on it. Itâs cool, though,â said Williams, who had practiced with the wrist heavily wrapped since the beginning of camp. âItâs really nothing. I just stung it a little bit.â
He suffered the injury near the end of a play during 11-on-11 action.
Trainers tended to him on the sideline, removed the athletic tape surrounding it, and then wrapped it in ice. Williams appeared to be in significant pain while being examined.
Williams said the wrist injury is nothing new, and that he initially hurt it âlike a year-and-a-half ago.â
He said he didnât expect to have any further examinations done on it, and that he hoped to practice on Wednesday.
