The Washington Redskins return to work at their training camp facility Monday for their final week of practices in Richmond before breaking camp.
The Redskins are scheduled to have a morning walk-through and an afternoon practice Monday. They have single practices scheduled daily Tuesday through Friday. They’re done with their first training camp in Richmond after a morning practice Friday.
They Redskins will play a preseason game at home next Monday night against the Pittsburgh Steelers and spend the remainder of the preseason based at their regular season headquarters in Ashburn. It’s an unusually long stretch between their first and second preseason games for the Redskins. They won their preseason opener Thursday night at Tennessee.
“I think what’s a little bit different—any time you have your last week of camp, normally it’s two-a-day practices,” Redskins Coach Mike Shanahan said Saturday. “We wanted to stay here through the week because it’s unusual to have a Thursday night game and a Monday night game.”
