Redskins cornerback David Amerson and defensive end Chris Baker both were limited in Wednesday’s practice according to the team’s first injury report of Week 2.
Amerson, the team’s second-round pick out of N.C. State, was hampered by a back injury, while Baker was limited by an illness.
Meanwhile, strong safety Brandon Meriweather (groin), nose tackle Barry Cofield (hand) and kick/punt returner Chris Thompson (ankle) all practiced despite injuries.
The Green Bay Packers, who host the Redskins on Sunday, reported that cornerback Casey Hayward has already been ruled out for that game with a hamstring. Hayward didn’t play in last week’s game.
Tight end Jermichael Finley (toe) and guard Josh Sitton (back) did not practice for the Packers, but haven’t been ruled out for the game. Linebacker Nick Perry practiced for Green Bay despite being listed with a neck injury.
