Washington Redskins wide receiver Leonard Hankerson missed Wednesday’s practice while nursing a foot injury suffered earlier this week.

Coach Mike Shanahan said that the third-year wideout hurt his foot while playing with his children on Tuesday. Hankerson stood on the sideline and caught passes from an assistant coach during the warmup portion of Wednesday’s practice.

Meanwhile, safety Reed Doughty (concussion) and defensive end Stephen Bowen (torn PCL, right knee) both were limited to positional drills. Nose tackle Chris Neild (calf) also was limited in practice.

Tight ends Logan Paulsen (knee) and Jordan Reed (thigh) both practiced fully.

Meanwhile, according to Denver’s injury report, quarterback Peyton Manning did not practice because of an ankle injury. Coach John Fox told reporters in Denver that Manning would practice on Thursday and play on Sunday.

Also according to the Broncos’ injury report, the following players also did not practice on Wednesday: cornerback Champ Bailey (foot), wide receiver Eric Decker (toe), tight end Joel Dressen (knee), guard Chris Kuper (guard), defensive end Shaun Phillips (hamstring) and wide receiver Wes Welker (ankle). Limited in practice for Denver were defensive tackle (Mitch Unrien (groin) and linebacker Wesley Woodyard (neck). Defensive end Robert Ayers (shoulder) practiced fully.
