“You usually say 24 hours,” Coach Mike Shanahan said when asked Sunday how long he and his team could enjoy the victory over the Chargers. “But it’s not 24 hours. We start special teams practice [Monday]. Everybody on special teams will get our workload there. Tuesday and Wednesday will be just like a normal Wednesday, Thursday and Friday during the season. So we won’t have as much running as we normally do, for obvious reasons. But our game plan will be in. In a couple days, we’ll be headed off to Minnesota.”
The Redskins are scheduled to travel Wednesday afternoon to the Minneapolis area.
Shanahan said previously that his coaching staff likely would begin its preparations for the Vikings game late last week, as the team’s preparations for the Chargers game wound down.
