Place kicker Kai Forbath had a simple explanation Tuesday for the two blocked field goal attempts he had during the Washington Redskins’ overtime victory Sunday over the San Diego Chargers at FedEx Field.
“Just hit it a bit low,” Forbath said.
Forbath had field goal tries of 25 and 59 yards blocked by the Chargers. He did connect on a 47-yard field goal later in the game. He’s 5 for 9 on field goal attempts this season after going 17 for 18 last season.
“It just happens sometimes,” Forbath said. “I mean, guys get kicks blocked all the time. It just happens. It wasn’t like something that I’m worried about that’s gonna continue to happen. So we had a good day today and just gonna get it corrected.”
