Bisaccia spent the 2013 season with the Cowboys and spent two seasons with the San Diego Chargers, serving as special teams coach in 2011 and then had assistant head coach added to his title in 2012. From 2002 to 2010, Bisaccia coached for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, holding positions of special teams coach, running backs coach and associate head coach.

Bisaccia, 53, worked with Allen during that time in Tampa. He worked under Redskins front office executive A.J. Smith while in San Diego.

ESPN first reported news of Washington’s interest in Bisaccia.

Bisaccia’s interview comes three days after Redskins officials met with Seattle offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell, and a day before they are scheduled to interview Carolina Panthers’ defensive coordinator Sean McDermott.

The Redskins also are expected to interview Baltimore Ravens offensive coordinator Jim Caldwell and New York Giants defensive coordinator Perry Fewell within the coming days. Caldwell is expected to interview some time next week, but the Redskins have yet to finalize a date for Fewell’s interview, a source said.
