Morocco Brown interviewing for Bucs’ GM job

Redskins Director of Pro Personnel Morocco Brown interviewed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for their vacant general manager position, the team confirmed Friday.

Brown just completed his six season as Washington’s director of pro personnel. He has ties to new Bucs coach Lovie Smith, having worked in Chicago’s front office during Smith’s tenure there. Smith has final personnel say in Tampa.

Brown interviewed for Arizona’s GM job last year but didn’t get that job.

He was expected to take on a larger role in Washington’s revamped front office now that Bruce Allen has been given control following Mike Shanahan’s firing.
