Kirk Olivadotti rejoining Redskins’ coaching staff

Kirk Olivadotti will rejoin the coaching staff of the Washington Redskins.

Olivadotti is being hired and is expected to serve as the team’s inside linebackers coach, a person familiar with the situation said.

The move was first reported by the Macon Telegraph.

Olivadotti has been the inside linebackers coach at the University of Georgia. He joined the school’s coaching staff in 2011 after spending 11 seasons as a Redskins assistant.

The Redskins already have hired Brian Baker as their outside linebackers coach. They tried but failed to hire Cincinnati linebackers coach Paul Guenther, who remained with the Bengals and was promoted to defensive coordinator. According to multiple people with knowledge of the team’s planning, the Redskins are expected to retain defensive coordinator Jim Haslett and secondary coach Raheem Morris.
