Kyle Shanahan is scheduled to interview Wednesday with the Cleveland Browns for their offensive coordinator job, according to a person familiar with the situation.

It will be the third known interview for an NFL offensive coordinator position for Shanahan since he was fired by the Washington Redskins.

Shanahan previously interviewed with the Miami Dolphins and the Baltimore Ravens. The Dolphins hired Bill Lazor, until then the quarterbacks coach of the Philadelphia Eagles, and the Ravens hired Gary Kubiak, the former head coach of the Houston Texans.

The Browns hired Mike Pettine as their head coach last week. He’d been the defensive coordinator of the Buffalo Bills.

Shanahan was fired by the Redskins along with his father Mike, the team’s head coach for four seasons, following a 3-13 season. Kyle Shanahan served as the Redskins’ offensive coordinator following a stint as the Texans’ offensive coordinator under Kubiak.
