McGlynn, 29, played for the Indianapolis Colts the past two seasons. He played for Jay Gruden in Cincinnati in 2011. He was a 2008 fourth-round pick out of Pittsburgh by the Philadelphia Eagles.
The Redskins see the 6-foot-4, 325-pound McGlynn as a player that can bolster the depth of their interior positions.
Washington this offseason has worked to upgrade the offensive line depth, particularly at guard. Josh LeRibeus, a third-round pick in 2012, didn’t play at all last season after struggling with weight issues. And uncertainty remains about 2012 fifth-rounder Adam Gettis, who only filled in on special teams last season.
