Last week, the D.C. Sports Bog featured a roundup of NFL preview magazines’ takes what Washington will do this season, and it was far from complimentary. This group of NFL experts — Fox Sports Live’s roundtable, including Jay Glazer, Randy Moss, Brian Urlacher and ex-Redskins quarterback Donovan McNabb — thinks the team could be pretty good this year. If you make it through the video, which runs almost nine minutes and isn’t boring, despite what you might think of the analysis skills of some of the panelists, you’ll even see at least one of them pick Washington to win the division.
While we’re on the topic, the Associated Press released its season previews, and Joseph White’s story is interesting from jump:
It didn’t take long for Jay Gruden to figure out Robert Griffin III.
“He’s a perfectionist. He doesn’t like negative publicity. He doesn’t like negative plays to happen. He wants everything to be right,” Gruden said. “He wants everybody to love Robert, and that’s not going to be the case at the quarterback position.”
Later this week, The Early Lead will begin running its previews by division. The East and North divisions run tomorrow, and the South and West on Wednesday. Longtime Insider readers with an interest in national NFL coverage should start making the Post’s other blogs part of their regular routine, as we’ll be amping up our national coverage significantly this season.
