RICHMOND — Wide receiver Pierre Garcon left practice early on Monday because of a sore right hamstring, but neither he, nor coach Jay Gruden, seemed overly concerned.

“He’ll be okay,” Gruden said following Monday’s morning practice session. Gruden gave all of the players the afternoon off, and they then will receive all of Tuesday off before returning to action on Wednesday.

Garcon, who had a couple of practices early in the team-drill portion of Monday’s practice, said that he felt some soreness in the hamstring, and this early in training camp didn’t believe it would be wise to push it.

“I’ll be good. No need to rush,” he said.

Running back Evan Royster remained sideline by a strained left hamstring. He continued to do some light work on the side with the team’s trainers. It marked the third straight day on the sideline for Royster.

Cornerback Courtney Bridget Jr. missed left practice with a shoulder injury and will have an MRI exam on it, Gruden said.

Defensive end Doug Worthington watched practice a day after leaving Sunday’s session with a leg injury.
