wideout DeSean Jackson, who is nursing a sprained ankle, returned in a limited capacity.
Garcon took part in individual drills, the first round of 11-on-11 drills and the seven-on-seven portion of practice before sitting out the final round of 11-on-11 action.
Jackson, who sprained his ankle in last Wednesday’s walk-through with the New England Patriots, took part in individual drills but watched for the remainder of practice.
Tight end Jordan Reed missed practice with a stomach bug, Gruden said.
Safeties Ryan Clark and Phillip Thomas both continued to train on the side while recovering from hamstring injuries. Running backs Roy Helu (mild knee sprain) and Chris Thompson (mild ankle sprain) also did not practice, and instead worked on a side field with the team’s trainers.
Defensive end Stephen Bowen remains on the physically unable to perform list while rehabbing from offseason microfracture surgery. Wide receiver Leonard Hankerson, recovering from ACL surgery, remains on the PUP list as well. But Gruden said both are making progress in their recoveries. The coach doesn’t yet know when either will receive clearance to practice, however.
