Redskins coach Jay Gruden said that cornerback DeAngelo Hall bruised his back, and didn't suffer a more serious injury, when he landed on his back at the end of a play in one-on-one drill in the red zone Sunday morning.
With 10 NFL seasons under his belt, DeAngelo Hall knows that he’s closer to the end of his career than the start of it. But he fully believes that he still ranks among the best cornerbacks in the league.
London Fletcher’s retirement leaves the Redskins with a big void when it comes to that strong, veteran, vocal leadership presence. Head coach Jay Gruden believes that cornerback DeAngelo Hall can fill that role.
