Have you noticed a trend in some of the terms coming out of the debt-ceiling talks? Things along the lines of “The Pontius Pilate Plan,” in reference to Sen. Mitch McConnell’s, (R-Ky.), plan and the “666 Plan” introduced by the Gang of Six. Have politicians finally taken the old adage “the devil is in the details” to heart?
Brad Hirschfield says that, in addition to being slightly creepy that these terms are being chosen, they may also be a key reason as to why Congress and Pres. Obama haven’t been able to reach a solution. They may not even want one on any sort of realistic terms.
