A taco a day: A guide to taco happy hours

The only thing better than a delicious taco is a taco that’s purchased at happy hour. (Cheaper tacos mean more money for beer.) As part of Friday’s Weekend cover story about about the area’s best new taquerias, I challenged myself to come up with an entire week’s worth of taco-centric happy hours and events at local bars. (You can start your seven days of indulgence tonight with free tacos and $2.75 beers at the Rams Head Tavern.)

There are many taco-centric happy hours in the D.C. area, and some of my favorite regular taco nights didn’t make that final list — bar owners’ love of alliteration there are a half dozen on Tuesday alone. Still, there are some amazing deals out there, including the discounted tacos, margaritas and beers at Oyamel’s Hora Feliz on weeknights, and El Chucho’s daily happy hour with half-price tacos and $4 draft margaritas.

What’s your favorite taco happy hour? Tell us in the comments.
