Beer tastings, tapping parties and meet-and-greets surround the annual Savor festival

The Savor craft beer festival is fun, but the events leading up to it might even be more exciting. (Eddie Arrossi/Courtesy of Savor)
The two-day Savor craft beer festival brings brewers and beer fans from around the country to the National Building Museum, but the week of happy hours, tapping parties and meet-and-greets leading up to Savor is just as exciting as the event itself. It’s like an extended Christmas for hopheads: Beers that don’t regularly make it to the D.C. area show up on taps around town; far-flung breweries take over dozens of taps at the same bar; and award-winning brewers take questions and offer tasting notes.

There are so many events that it’s impossible to do them all — just look at our Savor listings — but we’ve compiled a list of Savor Week events we don’t think you should miss .

Tell us in the comments: Which beers are you most looking forward to sampling?
