Every Tuesday, we send out our weekly With the Kids newsletter, packed with ideas from the Going Out Gurus and great reads for parents from the rest of The Post. For a glimpse of what’s inside the newsletter, here are three of our top event picks for the days ahead:

Shine & the Moonbeams (Thursday and Saturday) The Smithsonian and Jammin’ Java team up to bring the kid-friendly New York-based soul and R&B act to the Washington area for three shows.

Air Racers 3D” (Opens Friday) Keep your seats in an upright position and your seat belts buckled: The airplanes might only be on screen, but this 3D IMAX documentary about the Reno Air Races will make you feel like you’re soaring. The film screens at the National Air and Space Museum.

Memorial Day celebrations (Saturday through Monday) From Rockville to Great Meadow, local communities celebrate the unofficial start of summer with three days of concerts, parades and festivities.
