Brace for the cold with our guide to the best hot chocolate

In the winter, the chocoholics line up at ACKC, one of the picks on our list of places to get a superior hot cocoa.(James M. Thresher/The Washington Post)
Baby, it’s getting cold outside, and though we don’t usually need to dust off the old best hot cocoa list till November, we think the weekend forecast of rain, sleet and snow in the region definitely warrants a little salted caramel-laced, peanut butter-loaded, dark Belgian chocolate love in a cup.

We’re talking about hot chocolate.

You’ll find some of the creamiest, dreamiest varieties at ACKC, the most haute couture cocoa at Co Co. Sala, and the spiciest, most unusual hot cocoa by the pot at Oyamel (where they’ll even spike it if you’d like).

So here it is, our Editor's Picks for Best Hot Cocoa.
