Calling all shutterbugs: Share your photos now

To capture this scene of the Lincoln Memorial, photographer Joshua Cogan arrived at dawn. Think you can you top it? Submit your photos to our gallery. (Joshua Cogan)
If you were out soaking up the long sunny day on Sunday, then you likely saw the exact phenomenon that local photographers were buzzing about in the most recent Weekend section cover story, “Shutter Secrets.” Gorgeous colors popped against the blue sky: soft, pretty light illuminated the early morning and painted the sky mauve in the day’s waning hours.

Early spring, it turns out, is a sweet spot for photographers, and if ever you wanted to take up photography and put your pricey SLR camera to good use, the time is now. Check out the photographers’ tips and personal stories, then start snapping: with warm weather, cherry blossoms and the Kite Festival in coming weeks, there’s plenty of material. Then upload your pictures to our Your Artistic Photos user gallery and share them with the world.
