The chicken-dispensing mobile unit showed up this spring, before recently getting pulled off the streets to undergo a design change. Now comes word that the truck will have its official launch on Monday, July 9, with lunch stops scheduled throughout downtown D.C. in the first week.
The truck will serve lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday-Friday, with stops at Union Station, Farragut Square, Navy Yard, Metro Center and M Street. Each day’s exact location will be revealed that morning on the truck’s Twitter page, @chickfilamobile.
The week culminates, of course, with Friday’s “Cow Appreciation Day,” when customers wearing head-to-toe cow apparel will get a free meal, and customers in cow-themed accessories will get a free entree.
There’s more information about Cow Appreciation Day — which will also be celebrated at the chain’s other D.C.-area locations — at cowappreciationday.com, obviously.
The image above, provided by the chain, shows the truck’s new design. Below are images of the mobile unit’s menu.
