After storms and elections and bitter cold, this weekend delivers much-needed fun, not to mention spectacular weather to get out and enjoy it.

Take full advantage with our guide to the weekend’s best events, which includes Crafty Bastards, which moves from its perch in Adams Morgan to the parking lot at the new Union Market. The alt-craft fair is charging $5 admission for the first time (after reducing it from $10); but you can snag two-for-one admission if you buy tickets online through today.

If plush monsters aren’t exactly right for Mom this Christmas, holiday markets are also kicking off; this weekend, shop the Czech Christmas Market and Museum Shop Around.

Downtown, FotoWeek gets going in its new 40,000 square-foot space near Metro Center, a short walk from the Spy Musem, where you can see the tiny East German cars Trabants on parade.

And finally beer fans will have lots to toast over; in Alexandria, Rustico will keep the good vibes of Oktoberfest going with its outdoor festival Novemberfest. The District will celebrate its first D.C. Beerathon, a daylong citywide bar crawl with 26 participating bars.
