There are two D.C. restaurant openings today that you should be aware of. Doner Bistro in Adams Morgan has cracked its doors for what they describe as a “very soft” opening. Their business license was activated yesterday, and their alcohol license came in today. They won’t have their taps up and running until tomorrow, and their fryers aren’t yet operational, leaving fries off the menu, but if you are jonesing for a bratwurst or doner sandwich, I’ve been told that they will be ready to serve it to you by late lunchtime.
We will check it out for you in the coming days for you all. Stay tuned. (We know, it’s a tough job.)
Meanwhile, on 14th Street, Aaron Gordon’s American pub, the Drafting Table, is set to open this evening at 5 p.m. “Everything is in place and ready to go, believe it or not,” Gordon told me by phone this morning, indicating that the Logan Circle restaurant will debut with its full menu.
