‘Follies’ goes to Broadway

The latest revival of Stephen Sondheim’s “Follies,” now showing at the Kennedy Center, features seven female entertainment veterans. (Tracy A. Woodward - The Washington Post)
The Kennedy Center’s wildly popular production of “ Follies ” is going to the Great White Way. The show, about a group of former performance stars waxing nostalgic on their past stage days, will be performed for a limited time at the Marquis Theatre in New York.

The production at the Kennedy Center (reviewed by Post critic Peter Marks) continues through Sunday. The Washington production includes Broadway vets Bernadette Peters, Danny Burstein, Linda Lavin, Jan Maxwell and Ron Raines, and it’s not yet known which cast members are going to the New York show.

See our photo gallery of the cast and check our picks for more great musicals on screen this summer.
