Tack yet another item onto the neverending “Only in Washington” list: Cashion’s Eat Place is offering a special “pre-debate menu” from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. tonight before Barack Obama and Mitt Romney renew acquaintances in the second presidential debate at 9 p.m.
The $35 three-course menu begins with a choice of salad or gumbo before the main course of bison steak, oven-roasted chicken or Atlantic swordfish, with churros for dessert, which you can order to go if you have somewhere else to be. If you don’t, the normally television-free Cashion’s will be streaming the debate at the bar along with a new menu of bar food.
And if presidential debates make you really hungry, belly up to the bar at Hill Country in Penn Quarter:
Join us at the bar to watch round 2 of the presidential #debates tonight live at 9 PM...happy hour specials will be in effect for the show.— Hill Country D.C. (@HillCountryWDC) October 16, 2012
That’s $3 PBR, $5 well drinks and margaritas, and $20 margarita and Shiner pitchers.
