Tom Sietsema wasn’t able to focus on a local restaurant in Sunday’s dining column, as he was busy scoping out the dining scenes in Tampa and Charlotte for political convention attendees. But even with that absence, August has been full of new and noteworthy D.C. (and Frederick) restaurant openings, including Sietsema’s critical looks at Rasika West End , Family Meal , Hank’s on the Hill and Mayfair & Pine .
