For Washington Nationals fans, opening day means happy hour specials

Opening Day isn’t the same when the Nationals are out of town, but if you’re planning on taking a “long lunch” around 2:20, when Stephen Strasburg is expected to take the mound at Wrigley Field in Chicago, there are a few bars showing the game with cut-price food and drinks:

Duffy’s Irish Pub opens at 2 p.m. with happy hour drink prices — $3 tall boys, $10 pitchers — and half-price chicken or veggie quesadillas.

Lou’s City Bar is going for the ballpark experience with $2 hot dogs and $2 Natty Bohs during the game — and a great sidewalk patio, too. (Sadly, you’ll never find prices that low at an actual ballpark).

The Ugly Mug is better known as a place to go before a game at Nationals Park, but the Barracks Row bar is offering happy hour drink specials during all out-of-town games, too. Stop by for $4 Miller Lite, Coors Light and Blue Moon drafts and $6 Stoli drinks.
