‘Harry Potter’ fans: Choose your poison

If you’re in need of a “Harry Potter” refresher course, you don't have to spend every waking hour between now and midnight Thursday speed-reading the novels or watching all the DVDs. Just check out the “Harry Potter” marathon running every night through Thursday. The marathon screens two of the “Harry Potter” films per night. The third through sixth films will screen tonight and Wednesday, “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1” screens Thursday at 9 p.m. and the new “Part 2” screening right at midnight.

If the marathon is too much for you but you want to feel the full impact of “Deathly Hallows,” see both “Part 1” and “Part 2” together .

Harry Potter fans in and around the District should prepare for a barrage of “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2” viewing options. To see Harry and other characters zip off the screen on their brooms, get showtimes for the film in 3D. Or, take in the sweeping views of Hogwarts on a gigantic Imax screen. Get the best of both worlds with Imax 3D.
