Hot Tickets: Van Halen, Blake Shelton

Van Halen, here playing New York’s Cafe Wha? in early January, hits the Verizon Center stage in March. (Charles Sykes - AP)
Just last week, ’80s rock gods Van Halen gathered at New York’s legendary Cafe Wha? for their first reunion in four years. But this isn’t your standard money-grab reunion — though we’re sure dollar signs factored in to some degree — the Van Halen boys have a new album, “A Different Kind of Truth,” their first with wild man David Lee Roth on the mike since “1984.” So when they roll through D.C. for their March 28 date at Verizon Center, you can be sure you’ll hear some new tracks mixed in with all the classics.
