If you’re one of the many who are upset that Angelina Jolie’s writing and directorial debut “In the Land of Blood and Honey” left theaters before you could catch the somber movie, take heed: The Avalon Theatre will screen it startingtomorrow for at least a week (longer, if there is demand for it — which, according to emails we’ve received, there may be).

Movie critic Ann Hornaday wrote that Jolie made “an impressive writing and directing debut” with the movie, about love and other problems during the 1990s war in the former Yugoslavia. Hornaday gave it 2.5 stars, just a touch below the “very good” rating.
