Kid-friendly events this weekend

Little boys find extraordinary courage in “Peter and the Wolf.” The Oscar-winning stop-motion animated short film screens this weekend, accompanied by the National Symphony Orchestra playing Prokofiev’s famous score. ((BREAKTHRU FILMS))

Busy mom or dad? Wouldn’t it be nice if you received an e-mail every week with the best events to cart the kids to that weekend?

Well, that’s why we are here.

Every Tuesday, we send our subscribers the Going Out Guide With the Kids e-mail newsletter, packed with ideas from the Going Out Gurus and great reads for parents from the rest of The Post. Sign up to get it here.

To give you a taste of the newsletter, here are three of our top five picks for this week:

‘Peter & the Wolf Live!’ On Sunday, the National Symphony Orchestra performs Prokofiev’s score while the short film screens.

The Corcoran Gallery of Art is one of six venues near the president’s house offering special activities as part of Family Day in the White House Neighborhood on Saturday.

Clowns, storytellers and a host of other performers from across the pond descend on Washington as part of the Kids Euro Festival, Friday through Nov. 10.
